How do I access my email? PDF Print E-mail

All Hostworks UK hosting accounts provide a number of convenient ways to access your email.

The easiest method is to view, write and send your email via your Online Webmail Control Panel, here you view your email from any computer wherever you are in the world. All you need is your Account Username and Password.

If you prefer to use Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, simply follow this setup guide.

Microsoft Outlook Users

  • Open Microsoft Outlook
  • Select - "Tools" > "Email Accounts"

  • On the "E-mail Accounts" page, select "Add a new e-mail account", then click "Next"

  • On the "Server Type" page, select "POP3", then click "Next"

  • On the "Internet E-mail Settings (POP3)" page, into the "User Information" section, add your Name and E-mail address. These will be displayed to the recipients of any email you send.

  • Under the "Server Information" section, enter the following:

"Incoming Mail Server (POP3)" = mail.enteryourdomainhere.com (example, mail.yourcompany.co.uk)
"Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" = mail.enteryourdomainhere.com (example, mail.yourcompany.co.uk)

For "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)", you may also use the SMTP service provided by your Internet Service Provider. (example, smtp.wanadoo.co.uk)

  • Under the "Logon Information" section, enter your email address as your "User Name" and your password into the "Password"
  • Select the "More Settings" button
  • Under the "General" tab, enter the name by which you would like to refer to this account. (example, SALES)
  • If you are NOT using the SMTP service provided by your ISP, select the "Outgoing Server" tab and ensure the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authorisation" and "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" options are 'ticked'.
  • Click the "OK" button.

You should now be able to send and receive email by using the "Send/Receive" button in Outlook.

Please contact us if you experience any difficulty.
